The No. 2 West Florida baseball team swept a doubleheader against No. 4 Valdosta State. Brown (2-0) pitched nine innings of one-run ball to pick up his second win of the season Thursday. The McDonough, Ga. native allowed seven hits but was able to work out of a couple of jams, stranding seven Blazers on base. The junior walked one and struck out six. The Argos tied the game in the bottom of the first, and then took the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the second. UWF added two insurance runs in the seventh inning to aid Brown in his complete game.
